I guess I am in the minority then. When I miss a tv show for whatever reason, I download it, but I prefer to get it on Amazon rather than gambling(as I see it) on a Pirate Bay copy. If Amazon doesn't have it(or I think Amazon won't have it at that time) that's when I go to the Pirate Bay. The producers of Fringe haven't gotten a cent of my money because they take too damn long to supply the episode online.

This weeks "the hook" (www.readthehook.com), our local weekly not-quite news rag, discusses a book author who got all of $165 from her dead-trees publisher before it went bankrupt. She then went to amazon....where she has found, and says publicly, that giving away some of her content has indeed increased sales of the rest of it.
Incidentally, this isn't music..it's books, it's moderately "trashy" fiction novels.....
