Athlon 64 is still a relatively new processor. Prime95 has not yet been fully optimized to take advantage of it. It's being worked on... hang in there. The resident AMD 64 guru is "Dresdenboy", see some of the threads he's participated in.

ok thanks I'll go to another DC program until a better client for my cpu comes out.

Do you know of another DC project that is already optimized for Athlon 64? It would be really good to know, because if anyone out there has technical experience to share getting the most out of this chip, it would be quite welcome.

well Seti does have a x86-64 linux client....but its slower the the windows 32-bit client.....waaayyy slower. I ran a benchmark and I can complete the WU in 1.6 hours in winxp 32-bit, using the same WU on a P4 3ghz takes 2.3 hours HT on, 2.4 HT off. I'm gonna try folding and see what the performance is with that clien
