First time I have read concrete information about Nvidia's next gen GPUs. I hope it's not a fake:
http://en.expreview.com/2012/02/06/e...hed/20836.html P.S.: As hotclock isn't expected to hold any more it might really be a fake. We'll see. A German page seems to believe it: http://www.tomshardware.de/Nvidia-Ke...ws-247000.html Last fiddled with by Brain on 2012-02-07 at 18:55 Reason: Fake!?! |

Time will tell
![]() But it's definitely gonna be at least twice as fast as gtx 580. And if I remember correctly the presentation from NV CEO from last year, Kepler is focused on DP FP/Watt. |

No news directly from nVidia? Then this news probably is fake, or incorrect, or both

Raw calculations show almost a 100% increase in peak theoretical compute power, lovely.
And this aint a high-end model ![]() However, if GK104-108 will be of similar CUDA arch type like sm_21 GPUs, 100% falls to 66% without optimizations and certain coding techniques. Anyways, a good GPU, especially with 4GB of vRAM. That will be perfect for high-res screens. Last fiddled with by Karl M Johnson on 2012-03-14 at 19:01 |

Questions I have:
1) Who's going to be the first person on the forums to get one? 2) How many Ghz of CPU grunt is needed to saturate it with mfaktc? 3) How many Ghz-days/day does it get with mfaktc? 4) How many Ghz-days/day does it get with CUDAlucas? Even if it performs the same for mfaktc, I'm keen to get one for the power savings. -- Craig |
