Anonymous, the 'hacker' group react http://techland.time.com/2012/01/19/anonymous-claims-doj-riaa-mpaa-sites-hit-for-megaupload-bust/ and Anonymous statement http://pastebin.com/WEydcBVV Code:
January 19th, 2012 Popular file-sharing website megaupload.com gets shutdown by U.S Justice - FBI and charged its founder with violating piracy laws. Four Megaupload members were also arrested. The FBI released a press release on its website which you can view here: http://www.fbi.gov/n...-infringement We Anonymous are launching our largest attack ever on government and music industry sites. Lulz. The FBI didn't think they would get away with this did they? They should have expected us. #OpMegaupload The following sites were taken down in response to the FBI shutting down megaupload.com :) TANGO DOWN justice.gov universalmusic.com riaa.org mpaa.org copyright.gov hadopi.fr wmg.com usdoj.gov bmi.com fbi.gov DOX of MPAA CEO Chris Dodd (original: http://pastebin.com/mvLYNdWB) [snip] bunch of address of people supporting SOPA [/snip] We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not Forgive. We do not Forget. Expect Us. @AnonymousWiki an amusing fact : it seems that Lamar Smith, who filled SOPA proposing the law isn't properly crediting the photo he uses on his campaign site, and therefore could be taken down under the law he is proposing. Thanks to the priorities of our ever-busy lawmakers, we now have "SOPA Math":
Illegally download Michael Jackson song = 5 years in jail; Kill Michael Jackson = 4 years in jail. |
