Nucleon-
At some point it seems that you might consider setting all this up in some kind of rack or shelf arrangement where you could put some larger fans on. A cheapo shelf unit with the back panel removed comes to mind. Maybe combined with 20" box fans, or if that's not enough, high velocity fans. After all, you've already got one mobo just sitting out. You've clearly studied the fan setup you have; you've got numbers on it. I'm just saying that an enclosure can help channel the air flow, instead of having all those fans kind of conflicting with each other. Think wind tunnel. Pardon my rant. Ventilation and air flow tweaking are personal obsessions. Seeing things scattered about makes me itch to do something with all that stuff. I've never dealt with a multi-system setup like that. But I have hacked (read: drills and reciprocating saws) more than one case to make things work better. In OC forums I've seen this called ghetto modding. I'll stop. You've got amazing hardware and produce amazing results. |

Bulldozer is dozing atm :) It's off.
Yeah I've migrated the H80 from the bulldozer and put it on the 3930k. Bulldozer now has stock cooler on it. 3930k temps - 60-67degC according to hwinfo64 status. 1.361V For some reason cpuz isn't stable on this win8 build. -- Craig |

@kladner
Yes cooling is a bit of a problem. The hex core has allowed me to move things around. Cooling is much better now. I have better placement. It's almost the way I want it, a few more adjustments and I can send update photos to ease those itches :) -- Craig |

I look forward to seeing the new arrangement. To reiterate, I have no intention of quarreling with success, however achieved. I'm just an incurable tinkerer.

So if I understand correctly, if you were to run rsync as (for instance) a daily cron job, then you could set up daily synchronization of two folders on different computers?

Code:
rsync --partial -avr -e ssh /var/www/html/data/ video.mersenne.info:~/videos/data/ Also note that I am using an account on each box which is "trusted" between the machines, so no password is needed (and yes, the account in question is extremely unprivileged). |

Drum roll please.... Pass the envelope. The grand total was $1354.62 for the quarter. Further detail: 63.33kWh daily consumption/7.95T greenhouse emissions for the quarter. 2.64kW ish consumption -- Craig |

Craig,
You need to move to a colder place. You'll feel less bad about your bill. But seriously may be an idea to ease up a little during the peak summer months. You could have agentleman's agreement with Xyzzy and he would ease up in July/Aug
