Default Videos... Gamma...

OK, the batch job has finally finished generating all the videos, including H264 format.

These should now work with all browsers under all operating systems. A pity you have to generate three different video formats (H264, OGV and WebM) to achieve this, but what do you expect from the Wild Wobbly Web...?

Some ranges of interest:

The entire 1B range
The bottom 100M range
Just ahead of the DC wave-front
The LL wave-front
The 332M range

The DC and LL waves.

Please let me know (via PM or publicly here) if these don't work for anyone. Please provide what browser and operating system you're using, and approximately what time you attempted to view the video.

Because of how long these take to generate, the deeper resolution videos may only be updated weekly.

Works great here with entirely free open source software. We rarely get to see videos!

It doesn't work too well with Lynx, though.

Thanks guys.

It's actually really easy to do thanks to HTML5's video tags, but it took some time to find a truly free fall-back player (there are a tonne of players which claim to be Open Source, but somehow you have to pay to remove their branding, and you can't use them on commercial sites).

If anyone else wants to do this kind of thing, VideoJS is your friend!

Try This: http://www.youtube.com/html5
It may not be "pure", which thus may not work, but it's worth a try.

Another interesting site...
