For comparison, when I did this one on a Titan, the initial ETA was ~60 days. (It got much longer at the end because I was only working on it during the nights, in the hot season here, but this is not relevant for you).
You can make the calculus, considering Titan vs 780 relative speed, and exponents size (FFT) against your desired (FFT). They are somehow "linear" here this narrow range, you can use proportions

Hello,
Quick question. I appear to be stuck trying to get CUDALucas to work. I have downloaded CUDALucas and and two required .dll files for version 4.2 (Windows) but when I try to run CUDALucas.exe the following error: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000ba). Click OK to close the application" is seen. I probably did something wrong when downloading the cudart and cuffart 64_42_9.dll files. I used 7zip to open them as that seemed to be the required program. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks! Normally it will let you know that you're missing a .dll, so that's probably not it. Are your drivers up to date? Can you post a screen shot of the run attempt?

Edit: I am still getting an error; however, it is now different than previously. This different error was obtained after moving the two .dll files and CUDALucas into a new folder I created and placed in Program Files (not x86 Program Files). I guess I never saw instructions on what to do with the two .dll files once you download and unzip them. The pdf on post 1 only gives links for all the files. Do you put them anywhere specific? Do they have to be in the same folder as CUDALucas? Is there a website/pdf that explains this? I have attached an image of the new run error. Thanks Last fiddled with by Primeinator on 2014-10-29 at 19:47 |

This page http://sourceforge.net/p/cudalucas/code/37/tree/trunk/
says there are no files for 4.2 (maybe it is outdated in relationship to the pdf on post 1 which has files for 4.2 Windows?) so I deleted CUDALucas 4.2 and installed 4.1. I deleted the previous .dll files and installed the corresponding ones for version 4.1. I now get this error. ![]() Should I instead be downloading CUDA 3.2 / SM 1.3, which the PDF indicates is for "older" chips? I'm not sure exactly what counts as "old" in this case but my CPU is definitely nothing great. Last fiddled with by Primeinator on 2014-10-29 at 20:02 |
