Robert Conrad, star of popular US TV series Hawaiian Eye (1959-1963; all done on the Warner Bros. sets in Burbank, unlike the later Hawaii 5-0, which was done on location), The Wild, Wild West (1965-1965; he did most of his own stunt work on the series and suffered several serious injuries as a consequence), and the WW2 series Black Sheep Squadron (1976-1978). Aged 84, leaves behind 2 ex-wives and 8 children.

Outside of Wild, Wild West, I most fondly remember him for this series of commercials.

Alas poor Heather! I knew her, Horatio, a woman of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy.

Heather Couper and I knew each other from our Oxford days. She once gave a talk to OUAS (the Oxford University Astronomical Society) and greeted me with the phrase: "Hello Paul, my old sausage, how are you doing?". This caused a little surprise in the people near by, one of whom asked me: "What did she just call you?".

She was often called "Heather Cowpat", but never in her hearing AFAIK.
