Long Lived CPU?

Hi guys:

I have been using this small CPU (an 80552, which is an 8051 with PWM registers and an on-board ADC) for about a decade at work. The problem is, it (or rather the card it lives on) is getting a little small, at 64K and 11MHz. I want to find a replacement for it that is likely to be available in 2020, with just a little more (say 128K program space, and 16 bit internals) computing horses.

Recommendations as to where to look? This is going into a motor control, so temperature capability is important. I'd also like to avoid an external parallel bus to main memory.

I certainly aren't vouching for 2020 life but if you haven't already have a look at the range available form from microchip's stuff. I don't know if they have 128k stuff ready yet since the site seems to require both JS and flash (why microchip?) so sorry if this is a dead end for you.

I definitely have my eye on Microchip with that 125C temperature rating...have a fine chip of theirs in one of my projects already, and the biggest issue with it is the guys forgetting to program the chip sometimes. Second biggest issue is the display it's attached to gets flexed...

I dislike Microchip's website; it's the only one where I have to run IE. Maybe I should bug Dean Kammen about that bit of PC'ness.
