Yes, being disagreed with throws me into a blind rage.

By the way, we have another half an annoying person added in the last day or so. Has someone, or rather somehalf, just annoyed a gerbil again?

Hey Brian

How about being on this forum in a big way, but not contributing any compute work (and certainly not any theorems) to primenet for annoying.

What is the best way to handle this situation? I think I know R.D. Silverman's answer, but he is famously ineffective at political tasks such as this one, and I am interested in a won endgame.

then I'm not allowed here, because I've used prime95 maybe 3 times that I know of since joining ( and some of that may be stress testing) so I'm annoying and not contributing a month's work every year.

As has famously been said about pornography, you'll know it when you see it.

Why don't you simply run prime95 while you are on mersenneforum and ask it to do some P-1 work? It doesn't seem very hard....you should have results within a week or so.....

...and maybe spend some effort on making your posts communicate more effectively and precisely. I'm still waiting for you to correctly count the total number of positions on the chessboard with two kings and one pawn, and to communicate it in a way I don't have to decipher.

Jason, is there still a good, elementary book on combinatorics on your bookshelf that we should have SM88 read?

But first: let me suggest that no-one mentions any forum member by name when referring to annoying behaviour.

Here's my idea of annoying behaviour:
Someone starts a pointless thread which also contains plenty of potential for flame wars, then covers himself by imposing a draconian rule so that any unpleasantness can't be called his fault.

Who else finds things annoying on the forum? What are they?
"If it weren't for bad luck, I would've had no luck at all"

If it weren't for annoying behaviour, I wouldn't behave myself at all.

I see that we're now down to just 3-1/2 annoying members. I also see that CMD's ID shows up in purple. Could that be why?

I find it annoying that I am distracted by reading threads about annoying behavior.

I find it annoying that I'm forever being asked to slap down posters who appear either to be imbecilic or not potty-trained or both.
