Back when I was corresponding with AMS regarding getting clearance for What Drives an Aliquot Sequence?, the Assistant to the Publisher told me that they were going to put the articles from the older publications online at no charge. Every time I checked it hadn't happened and eventually I quit checking. This post prompted me to check again, and sure enough, it now looks like anything over 5 years old is available now.
So, for those interested, if you go to the AMS search page, search "all journals", author "richard guy", and title keyword "aliquot", you can find the oroiginal verion of the driver article along with "Corrigendum to What Drives an Aliquot Sequence" where "two inaccuracies and some obscurities" in the proof are corrected. If you search all authors and keyword "aliquot" anywhere, there are some articles concerning searches for cycles and amicable numbers. I haven't checked to see how old the amicable number articles are, but I'm going to peruse them....if you go searching and find anything of interest, feel free to post it for the rest of us. |
