Welcome back to my very popular "online classroom".
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year!

Don, you may have already mentioned this somewhere up the thread,
but what are the domains of c and T? All reals? Integers?
Nonnegative integers? This question needs to be settled before we can
really consider the question that you have set here.
We are considering positive integer variables whose implied domains
are as follows:

c is an element of {1,2,3...},
T is an element of {2,3,4...}.

And the question that we are considering is...

Given the identity:

 <br />
\left(\frac{T}{T}\right)*c^{3}=T*\left(\frac{c}{T}\right)^{\frac{\frac{3*\ln(c)}{\ln(T)}-1}{\frac{\ln(c)}{\ln(T)}-1}} <br />

can we substitute

\left(\frac{c}{c}\right) for \left(\frac{T}{T}\right) ?

So... what do you say?
Please just answer either yes or no without any commentary whatsoever.

Bunny rabbit "axn" was clearly unable to answer either yes or no.

This, too has been discussed ad nauseam in this thread. The identity holds only on the condition c!=T, and under this condition you can make the substitution, so the red herring on the RHS simplifies to the LHS again.

So, question for you, Blazys:

Given a rational a/b and integer c, under which conditions does

a/b = (ac)/(bc)

hold?

a) Under the condition c != 0
b) With no further conditions

Don't post unless you answer this.

Couple of weeks ago got to see the late Strother Martin in that Saturday night's creature feature, the low-budget snakefest with the vowel-challenged title Sssssss. His daughter in that was played by Heather Menzies (who later married Robert Urich and added that name via hyphenation concatenation), who played one of the Von Trapp children in the decidedly snake-less* The Sound of Music. Good stuff.

Which gives me an idea: How 'bout we perconvert this "endless flaming over trivial identities disguised as needlessly obfuscated formulae" thread into a more socially useful "In memory of Strother Martin" thread?

I removed it. As I said, don't post unless you answer my question, which you have failed to do.

Someone substituted c/c to T/T into it and it magically disappeared due to division by zero...
