We use Dropbox a lot. It is one of our favorite free "cloud" apps. And, it works with our iPad, too.
Anyways, if you sign up for Dropbox using our link we get additional free storage. Ordinarily, we would not post So, think of the children!

I concur! Dropbox has essentially replaced my flash drive. And since my iPad doesn't have a USB slot, that's a good thing! Unfortunately I already have an account so am not of any help, but if you don't have one yet this is a great opportunity to see what you're missing and help out the children at the same time!
Edit: BTW, sign up with a .edu address if you can. They will then give you 0.5 GB for each referral rather than 0.25 GB. Last fiddled with by frmky on 2011-02-07 at 09:11 |

The hole is that some component within the client software attempts to execute code off the stack. SELinux rightly picks that up as a vulnerability and refuses to let the client run. For those not au fait with this kind of vulnerability: if the stack is executable, anything which is put on the stack of that process can be run as code with the privileges of the user running the client. The risks are just too great that an otherwise harmless bug or misfeature could be exploited by creating a carefully crafted temporary data structure and then executing it. I would recommend other users of Dropbox to consider their options very carefully. The authors are aware of the problem, according to forum postings I read when investigating Dropbox's failure to run on my system, but haven't yet released a corrected version. Some of the workarounds suggested on the forum are wildly irresponsible in my opinion. Paul |

Troll[3,4] have requested more space. We have no idea what they are doing exactly, but we are pretty sure it is legal.
