why can´t i get the manual assignment to do ECM on 1061?

The server isn't assigning any ECM on M1061. If you want to do ECM, you should use GMP-ECM with a large B1 value. I'm guessing anything less than 800,000,000 is a waste of time.

I would argue that any more ECM on M1061 is a waste of time. The number will yield to SNFS in due course.

For now, I'd recommend looking for Mersenne primes instead.

Not to disagree with the other comments that ECM may have run it's course but if you really want to do some anyway you can add the lines yourself to worktodo.add in your Prime95 folder according to the syntax in readme.txt

Will PrimeNet be assigning ECM with B1=85e7?
And a related question; will the default B2/B1-ratio of 100 be increased? |
