All that's in the primenet.ini are that line and the debug=1 line, I didn't include all the proxy stuff since I don't run a proxy server.

As long as you do not need a proxy server in general, then you should not need a primenet.ini file either. Have you tried it without this file?

AFAIK the client does a normal request to port 80 on the primenet server.

Yes, I just did a basic installation originally, without any special settings. I found the forum here when searching for an explanation of the error.

Hi!

I had the same Problem.

I have a T1 Connection and got Error 2252. Debug showed me
"Error in recv call: 10035
ERROR: Primenet error 2252"

What solved my Problem: I have "Web Washer" running on my system (It's a "proxy" running on your System filtering Banners).

Whenever prime95 tried a direct connection i got Error 2252, but after I entered the WebWasher-Proxy in the primenet.ini it worked.

Hope this helps someone.

Greets,
Joerg

im also having the same problem working behind a SonicWall pro230. It seems this may be a problem working behind sonicwall devices. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this? my access list shows that it should allow http access on port 80.

I had the same problem on a linux (redhat 8) box, behind NAT and firewall (incidentally a SonicWall too). Direct connection timed out with error 2252 in recv call. Worked fine when I used a simple packet proxy on the same machine. I'd suspect connection option/flag/buffering issue in mprime.

Default error 2252 sonicwall help??

We just got a new sonicwall firewall at work and i can no longer connect to primenet? Someone mentioned a simple packet proxy as a work around. How do I do this?

W98, no proxy server.

Thank you
