But when I tried to report to Primenet all I got was:

ERROR 3: Exponent not assigned to this computer.

Go to the manual report page:
http://www.mersenne.org/ips/manualtests.html#checkins

You only need to report the factor, not the unsuccessful trial-factoring. Remember, the GIMPS database already thinks that all of these exponents were previously trial-factored to 62 bits.
