I have 4 clients that have been trying to send completed work in and get new work all day on 7100 and 7101.
Is the server having problems? |

I can see that the servers are up and running, but that does not necessarily mean they accept and send out work. I'll notify ltd by email in case he has not seen your post.

Servers were up and running and there were returned results today but I saw in the logs that your machines had problems to connect for unkonwn reasons.
As there was something strange going on with the debug output as well I have restartet the servers. Hope this makes everything going well again. |

One other idea. Did you change your client to a newer version lately? The thing is due to the fact that I am running a quite old linux server at the moment I am forced to use a quite old PRPnet server version which might have problems with the new clients.
At the moment I plan to rebuild the whole server in December. So if you need the latest client due to the fact that you have other projects running that need this client you have to wait till then to contribute to PSP again. I am very sorry for that but real life forces me to have this priority. |

Looks like a compatibility problem:
Logfile shows: [ERROR: ReceiveCompletedWork error. Message [Test Result: llr.exe xxxxxxxxxxx] cannot be parsed] Your client is to new. If you could send me your "prpclient.log" files I will try to insert your results. Only problem is that I will be out of town for the next two weeks. ( No holiday work only). So there is a chance that some of the tests are already rescheduled. But then I will at least count them as DC tests. Sorry for the inconvenience. Last fiddled with by ltd on 2010-10-17 at 20:13 |

3.0.0 went to an entirely new client/server communication protocol, so there's no forward- or backward-compatibility between 2.x and 3.x.Note that the recently released 4.0.0 uses the same client/server protocol as 3.x, so it's fully compatible with all 3.x and 4.x clients. |

OK, thanks everyone. Now running 2.4.7.
Would be nice to get that server updated but I'll downgrade until it does. |

You just need to replace the prpnet client. The worker program of llr can use the latest version.

So use all of the 3.3.6beta and paste in the prpclient.exe from 2.4.7.
That would be nice if it works so I don't loose the new optimizations and can still communicate with the server. |
