Recommended GREP for windows? - Page 2

FYI, if you need a command-line grep-like thing in Windows, look into findstr. It's included with Windows; just type "findstr /?" at a command prompt for basic help. It kinda sorta does regular expressions - they're weird - but I believe you can expect to find the program on any NT-based Windows.

I use it regularly on Windows, but it's a poor substitute for grep. It is slow, doesn't handle spaces properly, and doesn't support much of the extended syntax.
