George, nice speed improvements in 26.2! I benchmarked my Pentium 4 and compared the new timings with the old ones, and there is a 4-5% average improvement. In some cases it's even a 10% improvement. In multi-threading (with HT) cases the speedup is significantly less clear: sometimes I get a 10% speedup, sometimes I get a 20% slowdown, even benchmarking several times. But all in all, nice release.
PS: I found a little bug: benchmarking with several threads, the "Setting affinity ..." string get printed several times. |

Pentium 4 users should see the least improvement. I'd bet Core 2 users running the 64-bit executable will see the most.
