How about this week.
Someone "assisted" the abandoned exponent and finished it.
The active (albeit very slow) assignment is expected in a couple days.
So...pretty much today or tomorrow. The DC wavefront is going to jump quite a bit from just this one exponent being completed.

So? What is "the time since universe existed?" Still a bounded number. Eternity is unbounded. You forgot where the discussion started from, in spite of the fact that you started it :P and the best post from all this topic is still the one of yours, where you said about the eraser :D
I may be a bit nerd, but I almost died of laughing when I was reading that... (seriously).

edit: my post was directed to Uncwilly, someone else slipped between.

Aldo-Grid finally finished today ... but got a Suspect LL.
But also Anonymous finished a week ago and got another Residue that does not match the residue of the first attempt prior to 2008-10.

3 tests; 3 different residues.

And now Garo is trying the 4th time....expected completion Dec 13.

Hmm, I wonder if this (partially) explains the slowness. The machine might possibly have been continually getting errors and going back to a previous save file whenever it encountered them. Unless the client software limits the number of times this happens during a test.

Thank goodness! Will put us all out of our misery.

Not me. I would have loved to finish it off but monst got that assignment. Where did you see it assigned to me?

Sorry (if your question is also directed at me). I posted without checking facts.

monst got the assignment, and as far as I know, he's very reliable. If we're willing to wait two weeks, it will be done. If monst is willing, I'm sure garo or I or other CUDALucas people can get it done in a couple of days.

Either sounds just fine. The 13th really isn't very far away.

Yes, waiting for milestones isn't such a bother when we know they have a reasonable chance of being achieved in a short period of time.

We'd have to wait about two weeks even to verify a new prime.

And what is a couple of weeks when we will have to wait years for some of the other milestones to be reached?
