1. Less than 20% unfactored below 1M. We're at about 10.1%. 65 to go I calculate. Alex is moving this along though not alone. Should be 2019.
2. Less than 2,000,000 unfactored under 100M. 16,735 to go, about what we did in the last year. 2020 might be possible but optimistic. |

If you put your resources to work in the 90M range, I think we might have a shot at 2 by the end of 2019...
EDIT: Nevermind - just checked mersenne.ca, 2020 is a better estimate for 2. Last fiddled with by masser on 2019-05-01 at 22:46 |

For anyone keeping an eagle on the <84M milestone...
I granted a one-day reprieve to M83748043. It was due to expire in about an hour but he really only has about 12 hours of work left on it. I wouldn't normally intervene but I didn't want it being reassigned as a first-time check only to have that change to a double-check within hours. |

Maybe also for https://www.mersenne.org/M83556937? Current forecast on the 3 cores of X5650 chugging away on it is 8 days 15 hours to completion. https://www.mersenne.org/assignments...xtf=1&exdchk=1 shows expiration in 8 days. (I'm in the rare position, as are a few others, of having more in progress than curtisc; TWO! ;) Last fiddled with by kriesel on 2019-05-03 at 14:29 |

If no one intervenes the exponent expires and the assignment goes to a new user. However, sometimes the exponent continues updating and may (or may not) become a Double Check

If the original run continues to make progress, it becomes a race as to which is reported first and considered first primality test, and which is reported second and considered the double-check. Worst case, the reassignment also expires, and repeat. Best case, the first and the reassignment complete, and it's a relatively early double check, and they match res64 values. Five exponents' assignments expire in 2 days. These fall under 4 users. One is one of mine, and it will complete within hours of expiration. The other uses are arnaud, BethR, gamsn. None of us appear in top producers with blue text indicating a web link possibly leading to an email address, as occurred with David Barina for the last milestone reached. So there's no easy way to notify the other users to check on their runs. Last fiddled with by kriesel on 2019-05-09 at 01:22 |

Was curious, if someone was doing say an LL and then the assignment expires and was assigned to someone that does a PRP test. That would be a huge waste if the original user was at like 90% or something. |
