Yes, I had to stop the server for about 30 seconds to correct a duplicate pair issue. (I didn't want to mess with completed_tests.log while the server was still running because of how fast the results are coming in.) Sorry about that.

Don't we have to stop the server longer than that to load new pairs into it? Or can that be done "on the fly" with the MySQL PRPnet server?

We're now up to 6 primes in 93,000 pairs for the rally. Only 2.5 primes behind the expected 8.5 primes now.
First 80,000 pairs: 3 primes Last 13,000 pairs: 3 primes Typical fluctuations in randomness going on here. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2010-08-18 at 18:14 |

There's also a command line flag that can be used to load in pairs directly on the server itself, but I've never needed to use that. AFAIK that can be done while the server is running, too. |

I removed support for that a while ago. It was there for backward compatibility.

At this point, I'm thinking that it makes since to add 5 hours to the rally on the PRPnet side due to the server outages. Although it probably won't make a difference in the team competition, there may be some individual battles going on that could be affected. We'll wait for comments from everyone before officially adding the time.
Dave, would it be possible to show the cumulative total # of pairs processed for the rally by each individual? As it is now, that is only shown by day but no individual grand totals are shown. It can be entertaining for the individuals to have battles amongst themselves for people with a similar # of cores. |

To make it official: We'll add 5 hours to the PRPnet side of the rally. It will end at 7 PM CDT on Aug. 19th (midnight GMT Aug. 20th). There is no change to the LLRnet side.
Dave, can you make that happen on the rally stats page? Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2010-08-19 at 03:11 |

Starting 18 minutes ago (first core 10:09 PM, fourth core 10:22; they all tried at slightly different times and failed) I wasn't able to connect to the PRPnet server. I got "nothing was received on socket after 10 seconds" and then "Could not verify connection to noprimeleftbehind.net. Will try again later." in the logs (repeated three times before it fell back to my local server). Is the server down?
