can't login to mersenne.org

Greetings all.

Stopped by mersenne.org to see (as I randomly do every few years) what my totals were and couldn't login. I received a "account login [name] not found" error. Now, [name] is what both instances of Prime95 I have running show as my username and both copies of my prime.log show regular contact with the server.

What's up?

Have you done so since the V5 server came on-line? That might be the issue. You might have to re-register and then re-claim your credits.

When did the server switch occur? It's been literally several years since I last logged in to anything -- odds are this is the problem.

How would make the switch?

About Oct 20th 2008...

If you go to www.mersenne.org you should see that the screen is quite different with V5...and you likely have to register again.

Then you need to download the new client software (V25) to fully connect to the V5 server.
