I picked up the 'sequence summary' page for open-ended sequences starting at 890k, wrote a script to pick up the length and last term for each of them, cut out the few which were already past C100, and set 82 copies of my aliquot.py script running in parallel on my i7, set to stop when the composites hit 100 digits. The scripts use entirely separate files, chasing aliquot sequences doesn't use much memory, the Linux scheduler is happy scheduling 82 processes on eight cores, and it's just chugging away - the machine's not completely perfect at interactive response, but I'm much more inclined to blame that on the GPU polynomial selection I'm doing in parallel.
So the start dates for 890k-895k and 895k-900k are both today. No early down-drivers, and 896364 has hit C100 already. It does make 'top' look quite impressive: Code:

801402 is done for the subproject with size 100, index 650, 23*3*5.
I will keep this one: I had started it on the office PC ~1 week ago, shortly before I injured my leg. I will be out of office for at least one more week (and thus away from the box sequence 801402 is running on), and so I finished it off for the subproject today on my home PC. The sequence is still running on the office PC, and if nobody turns it off and it doesn't crash, it might be at size 125+ when I'll be back to office... |
