Say, in theory, I have a system with 32 cores and 256GB of DDR3 1066 memory. Are there any tweaks that I can do to utilize more of the RAM? Or is that a exercise in futility?
Thanks! |

Select "P-1 factoring" as work type for about half the cores and set the memory values quite high.

I should be getting a dual-Shanghai with 32GB shortly, which would be able to run really enormous ECM or P +-1 jobs, but I am not at all excited by the prospect of running such jobs. |

Err, yes, I do look into NFS projects from time to time.

Yes, it is really 32 physical cores. Don't get all hung up on the "currently shipping" thing. ijs
