S383 is complete to n=100K, results will be processed and e-mail along with the results for S58, this coming weekend. I'm now going to sieve S998 from now on and untill there is an official release of either a PFGW (from Rogue) or LLR (from Jean) version supporting AVX. So for now I'm holding my reservation to n=200K.

Are there anymore primes for S383? I can't update the range tested without knowing. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2012-03-06 at 10:05 |

I recommend against using someone else's builds of pfgw. I don't have an issue if someone builds it and uses it for themselves, but I do have an issue if they provide it to others. I don't want to be on the hook to support a build that I don't have control over. pfgw is a complex piece of software and it is easy for someone to make a mistake when compiling/linking it, such as using a buggy version of GMP. Another problem is that the version number MUST be changed when changing any pfgw component. It is the ONLY WAY one can guarantee the version of gwnum and GMP linked with pfgw.
I intend to generate a new release when gwnum v27.4 is ready, which will hopefully be within the next week. From what George has told me, it will work correctly on AMD Bulldozer. |
