Hi all,

I've developed Riesel base 327. The conjecture is 696 and I've managed to get the open k's down to: 38, 62, 204, 308, 346, 370, 458 and 664. My goal is to reach n - 25,000, currently n = 22,000.

Willem.

Only k=4 remains on both of them.
4*44056086+1 is a GFN prime (of simple x2+1 variety) and S440 is proven.

Note that it was easier than could have been, because left in the sieve there were n=0(mod 4) which are Aurifeuillian composites and 2(mod 4) to be searched.

Quick question: if, say, I'm testing a base and k that can potentially produce a GFN, and I find a prime which is a GFN, will the top-5000 automatically label it as such when I submit it, or is that something I have to notice and specify myself?

You may want to ask Ian if he did that manually, or was that tag server assigned. He had one of these recently.

Mine is way too small. I got specifically interested in this very topic when Ian had his prime. Searched a few series, found nothing... (until now)

It was assigned automatically by Dr. Caldwell's verification process. I didn't have a clue as to what it was.

Serge, can you post the test results for S440, just to keep the books up to date. Thanks

OK. I have about a dozen finished series, just haven't picked the time to send them all out. Will try to zip all data tonight.
