Perhaps you mean which dozen of the remaining 15K? Between 53M and 60M, ~45K expos are assigned for LL right now. Chris can't reserve an expo for TF if it's reserved for LL. And nearly 15K in that range, just about the balance, are already reserved for TF.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGTdmLhKEBk There are (or rather were) 140K expos "status unknown" between 53M and 60M. They should never have been assigned under-TFed in the first place. Ever wonder why I get stroppy about this? D Last fiddled with by davieddy on 2012-06-26 at 07:55 |

1. That PrimeNet should not have assigned work not TFed to at least 72 bit, and instead given TF work? That doesn't make sense for a CPU. 2. That PrimeNet should have instead given DC work? That (probably) wouldn't have helped find a new prime. 3. That PrimeNet should have not given out work at all, and let the CPUs twiddle their thumbs until someone came along and did additional trial factoring? 4. That the GPUs should have done what we're doing now, only earlier? I suspect it's #4, but I would like to hear it explicitly from you David, rather than hinted at. And if it is #4, then it does seem like crying over spilt milk to me. If there's a fifth position I didn't think of, I'd very much appreciate having it clearly articulated. But since you appear to be able to post, why are not able to articulate your position clearly? I gave you a multiple choice.... |
