The New Year demands your attention!!

But can one still make resolutions when one is over forty?
I live according to twenty-year-old habits.

I think in terms of the day's resolutions, not the year's.

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in.
A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.

The only way to spend New Year's Eve is either quietly with friends or in a brothel. Otherwise when the evening ends and people pair off, someone is bound to be left in tears.

I made no resolutions for the New Year. The habit of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding my life, is too much of a daily event for me.

Everybody has difficult years, but a lot of times the difficult years end up being the greatest years of your whole entire life, if you survive them.

As you go through your week, month, and even New Year, recognize the people who have packed your parachute and enabled you to get where you are today!

I'm a little bit older, a little bit rounder, but still none the wiser.

Now there are more overweight people in America than average-weight people.
So overweight people are now average. Which means you've met your New Year's resolution.

May all your troubles last as long as your New Year's resolutions!

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas.

A New Year"s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.

Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on a bank where they have no account.

Many people look forward to the new year for a new start on old habits.

New Year's Eve, where auld acquaintance be forgot.
Unless, of course, those tests come back positive.

The proper behavior all through the holiday season is to be drunk. This drunkenness culminates on New Year's Eve, when you get so drunk you kiss the person you're married to.

And finally... each age has deemed the new-born year the fittest time for festal cheer.

Now that we are fast reaching the end of 2010 and
beginning to think about 2011, how about some new
resolutions? Especially any related to math and mersennes.

I resolve to keep last year's resolution that I would make
a new resolution next year, and hereby do.

Not mathy, but it does imply infinity ...

If you mean you just got a pay rise, I'm sure you deserve it.

Merry Christmas
