I am looking at the Dell XPS 730X to perform LL tests.

Are there other PCs that will give me better performance, based on a $4,000 budget?

Two variants:
1. You are looking at the Dell XPS 730X to perform LL tests. Literally?
This is like looking at a Ferrari to haul bricks. If this is the only use, surely
five $800 computers will give you several times more performance.
2. You are looking for a computer to do your stuff and also run LL tests in the background. Then rest assured that any $4K desktop computer will be roughly equally good for LLs and concentrate on getting the computer perfect for "your stuff".

There is a lot of discussion here and a general consensus that for $500-$1000 depending on build or buy you can get some pretty decent hardware.
