Correct answer. I've never heard it used in plural form. Wiki has it listed in singular. Perhaps it was a possessive form. Over 36,000 feet to the bottom and a pressure of 15,750 PSI. Not exactly a friendly environment.

We've always heard/said it as Marianas Trench. Perhaps this is an older way of saying it?

Rolex was also the first watch company to create a wristwatch water resistant to 100m (330 ft).
