I can do that.
Billion digit nose
One Billings idot
Idle slob ignition (sounds like a pretty starter to me lol)

I think my answer for the first one makes more sense than the 'official' one. Prime Mersenne Numbers makes perfect sense, but Mersenne Prime Numbers is a bit redundant, to say the least.

Lousy try, Brian. (no, that's not an anagram, your words and this whole thread just vaguely reminded me of it for some reason)

Um...Boiled Oiling Tins?
Biding Lies Lotion?
Deb Oiling Soil Tin?
Bed Soiling Oil Tin?
Bide Toiling Sin Lo?
This one's much harder than the last one..
Edit: Inspired by one of Joshua2's, I think this is the right answer: One Billion Digits

I figured it had the billion digit thing. But "Boiled Toiling Sin" is kinda cool

Too easy. Solvable at a glance to Mersenne forum

That's the problem with transposition ciphers. For small messages the solution is either obvious or next to impossible without additional contextual information because there are too many solutions.

I suggest that we move to much longer texts where solving the transposition cipher becomes more of a challenge, and a fairer challenge at that. If there is any support for this suggestion I'll produce a few ciphertexts of varying difficulty.
