For those who have not yet read this posting over there in the Factoring subforum, I post this here because many small factorizations are done for the aliquot sequences:
GGNFS SVN 374 is out (see the posting linked above), and it comes with an 11e siever and a FactMsieve.pl updated to use 11e for small factorizations. The speedup (11e vs. 12e) is ~20%(!) for c85 and still ~4% for c93, the crossover between 11e and 12e seems to be somewhere around c95. So update your local copies of GGNFS to SVN 374 to get a significant speedup especially for the Aliquot subprojects. |
