I do wonder about the chances for some of the advanced patterns discussed to set up such strong resonant points that the glass breaks.

The UK is having some showery and breezy weather at the moment. In particular, "A severe hail storm has swept through Cambridgeshire, leading to difficult driving conditions".

Hail like that, which left a couple of cm of ice cover, is unusual in these parts at this time of year. Everything went dark, apart from occasional lightning flashes, and the chucks ran for cover under the bamboos^*. No significant damage done here and the power glitches didn't crash anything..

* Though Pixie kept dashing out to peck up some hailstones because she particularly likes eating ice chips. We've only ever seen her doing it in hot weather previously..
