Reserving n=1.5M-2M for PRPnet port 1400. Pairs will begin processing after all work for Sierp base 6 has been handed out to n=1M.

Yes, everything at noprimeleftbehind.net appears to be down at the moment. See the "Server outrages" thread over in the NPLB forum: http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthr...975#post376967

That's me! And it'll enter the top 5k at #51 (or thereabouts). My largest prime by far, CRUS's 3rd largest, and my first top 5k prime that can't be reduced to a base 2 form.

I'm running a DC myself, and have asked Gary and Max what the credit line for this prime should be, before submitting it.

Nice one. That also makes R6 a 1ker. 36772 was by far the largest of the 2 remaining k's. The last k (1597) has a weight of 272. May take us a while to find that one.

Gary is out of town so it will be a while before it is posted.

Finding a prime for the heavier k is bittersweet, in a way - it reinforces the idea that we'll probably have to search really far to prove this base.

I've completed a (double-check) N+1 test, but aborted the subsequent slow Lucas sequence:
Code:
PS D:\prime\prpnet> cllr64 -d -q"36772*6^1723287-1"
Base factorized as : 2*3
Base prime factor(s) taken : 3
Starting N+1 prime test of 36772*6^1723287-1
Using FMA3 FFT length 448K, Pass1=448, Pass2=1K, a = 3
36772*6^1723287-1 may be prime. Starting Lucas sequence...
Using FMA3 FFT length 448K, Pass1=448, Pass2=1K, P = 11
36772*6^1723287-1, bit: 30000 / 4454645 [0.67%]. Time per bit: 10.106 ms.
 Caught signal. Terminating.
I thought that the N+1 test would be a prime proof without needing anything further. Does anyone know why LLR wanted to run this extra step?

I also found the sieving thread for this range, so I'm more sure I know what the credit should be. I have submitted the prime to the top 5000: as expected, it's #51.

36772*6^1723287-1 is prime! (1340983 digits, 4454648 bits)
