It does occur to me though, that we have no information on whether the machine PJG-Borg05 itself might be error prone (0 confirmed good, 0 confirmed bad).

I see three small exponents in the TPR orphanage than need triple checks, so doing these would give instant feedback:

Well, they're not really priority.

I just mentioned that PJG-Borg05 might want to run them, to confirm that that machine itself is not error prone.

I added the DC's Garo sent me to the top of the queue on Borg05 this morning, and updated Primenet.

Status as of Dec 2:

Out of the original 29 exponents,

10 exponents are still pending (9 have been taken by TPR members, 0 remain in the orphanage, and 1 has been poached by diamonddave).

17 exponents now need a triple-check (so presumably the original test was erroneous).

2 exponents have been verified good.

Presumed error rate: 17/(17+2) = 89%

Of the 10 error prone 13M's assigned from the orphanage, 1 confirmed and 5 triplechecks required. This machine was confirmed good by producing 11 consecutive matching results prior to assigning the error prone work. Four exponents remain, completion of this set expected within 12 days.

Error rate to date: 5/(5+1) = 83%

additional comment:

I have a history of running the error prone exponents. Over the evening I'll compile and post results from other machines.

boxen_09 took ten of the first release of error prone exponents last October. Two results matched and eight triplechecks are required.

Error rate: 8/(8+2) = 80%

More interesting is a set of error prones assigned September. Four confirmed and one triplecheck required.

Error rate: 1/(1+4) = 20%

boxen_01 took five error prones in July. One confirmed match and four triplechecks required.

Error rate: 4/(4+1) = 80%

Just to clarify things a bit... It may seems like i am poaching exponnent but the only thing i am doing is some late factoring on them. I try to look in all the double-testing assignement and see if there is any exponent that is not factored far enough. When i find one i just put it in my factoring queue. I didn't do an exponent test in years. Since i use Primenet to report factoring result, my name is updated on the exponent but everything else stays the same. The original owner can still report the exponent.
