I sure lived up to the title of this thread when I saw those objects presented as food.

‘Secretly located’ Taliban official denies revealing whereabouts after Twitter gaffe tags him in Pakistan
Quote:
After his followers alerted Mr Mujahid of the location tag, he tweeted: “My Twitter account has been manipulated – as part of weak efforts of enemy plot, it showed that I am based in Sindh of Pakistan, I call this attempt as fake and shame [sic].”
“Now the enemy’s fake act has been exposed, and with full confidence, I can say that I am in my own country.”

No doubt something is being lost in translation.

Default Okra plants mistaken for cannabis by police in Georgia

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...a-9777749.html

Quote:
A Georgia man was investigated by police for growing marijuana in his garden – but the green plants were actually okra.

Dwayne Perry, of Cartersville, Atlanta, was woken up by the sound of a helicopter hovering over his home on Wednesday, WSB-TV Atlanta reported. Shortly afterwards, Bartow County deputies and a K-9 unit knocked on his door.
The cops must not have been using anything as old-fashioned as a visual inspection. Those leaves look far more like squash, than pot. Perhaps they shine like cannabis in the IR range?

the Okra as cannabis post flagged this whole forum as "Adult Material" and triggered Websense to lock out my access from work. Stupid dept. of No.

Believe it or not, Websense recently blocked projecteuler.net

I can (and surely do) use it from home now. Fair is fair, problem solving is for the weekends... not for coffee breaks at work.

Default Bulldozer Rampage

Disgruntled citizen builds armored bulldozer, goes for revenge ride. What a lot of effort, when he could have ordered it off-shelf from Caterpillar! Still, two layers of 0.5" steel with concrete in between is pretty darned effective armor.

I guess just the mention of 'cannabis' was enough to trigger the watchers. This suggests a guardian simple enough to also block "Breast Cancer Awareness Week."

Sorry, Jeff. I did not intend to set off any such ludicrous reactions.

The Scunthorpe effect rises again. I remember it the first time round, about 25 years ago.

Not the Scunthorpe effect again! It always causes problems, such as "buttociation". Hopefully, it doesn't cause problems with "sextillion" or "sexdecillion" (It might render that one as "genderdecillion") or anything with the latin prefix "sex-". It can also cause problems with finger binary, where the fingers represent powers of 2, because numbers of the form \sum\limits_{i=m}^n 2^{5i-3} only use the middle fingers. Such numbers include http://oeis.org/A013823 and all the possible sums of any numbers in said sequence.
