That is a funny one:
Sequence 868194, Index 17: Code:
1 FF 7 (Show) 1031886 = 2 · 33 · 97 · 197 2 FF 7 (Show) 1296594 = 2 · 33 · 13 · 1847 3 FF 7 (Show) 1808046 = 2 · 32 · 100447 4 FF 7 (Show) 2109426 = 2 · 3 · 11 · 31 · 1031 5 FF 7 (Show) 2646030 = 2 · 3 · 5 · 193 · 457 6 FF 7 (Show) 3751314 = 2 · 3 · 7 · 89317 7 FF 7 (Show) 4823214 = 2 · 3 · 11 · 73079 8 FF 7 (Show) 5700306 = 2 · 3 · 71 · 13381 9 FF 7 (Show) 5861742 = 2 · 3 · 976957 10 FF 7 (Show) 5861754 = 2 · 33 · 73 · 1487 11 FF 7 (Show) 7351686 = 2 · 32 · 408427 12 FF 7 (Show) 8577006 = 2 · 3 · 1109 · 1289 13 FF 7 (Show) 8605794 = 2 · 3 · 47 · 30517 14 FF 7 (Show) 8972574 = 2 · 3 · 13 · 37 · 3109 15 FF 8 (Show) 10881666 = 2 · 32 · 17 · 43 · 827 16 FF 8 (Show) 14693598 = 2 · 32 · 349 · 2339 17 FF 8 (Show) 4153^2-7 = 2 · 32 · 19 · 29 · 37 · 47 18 FF 8 (Show) 25434198 = 2 · 32 · 19 · 31 · 2399 19 FF 8 (Show) 34469802 = 2 · 32 · 167 · 11467 20 FF 8 (Show) 40668534 = 2 · 33 · 587 · 1283 ... The value is the same, but caused trouble when exporting for working on it. |

I had a similar problem with another number today, also in a aliquot sequence, can't remember which sequence though.

biwema and BigBrother, that problem is known. The database will recognise seemingly random numbers as being close to squares or something like that. It can even do things like 510522 = 22 + 17#.

One of the big reasons for posting all open sequences was due to this - I corrected all of these instances by translating them back into numbers - I also checked for db errors, and removed the partial final line as that causes issue on windows.
The only downside is that a sequence could have been extended since sep 15 when I last downloaded the sequences. My thought was that it depended how the number was first entered into the db. |

As an example, if you go to the "search" link in the top left corner and type in "17#+n" (without quotes), it will factor all forms from 17#+1 to 17#+51. Subsequent to that, whenever a value from 17#+1 to 17#+51 pops up in one of the sequences, it will show it as a form instead of the number. I was able to demonstrate this to myself when I saw a perfect square plus 2 that was not recognized as a form but the same perfect square plus 3 was recognized as such. I subsequently did the above and tah-dah, it recognized the perfect square plus 2 as a form. A person could annoy all of the sequence searchers greatly by doing this for all sorts of random forms for medium-sized numbers, i.e. b^n+c where b<100, n<25, and c<100. If you wanted to be really mean, you could probably factor enough forms so that all numbers < 1M in the sequences showed up as a form of some kind!! lolThe bottom line is that the sequences need to be programmed not to show forms of any type. It's OK for random factoring of numbers but obviously creates a problem with the sequences. Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2009-10-20 at 05:05 |

Hello everyone,
I have a problem to send my .elf files into the Database: - If I try to copy-paste the files into the text area, the "paste" text is in grey and I cannot execute it; - the "submit files" area is disactived and does not appear; - and if I try to send them from the DOS window, I have the error message "wget is not recognized", even I have installed it inside the aliqueit folder. Thank you if you have any solution... roger |

Indeed it is...I wonder why? Quote:
If all else fails, post them publicly in a zip or something and someone will find a way to get them in, I'm sure.

I had to download wget for windows. Wasn't too hard to set up after I did a web search for it. I don't remember if the directory it was in was automatically added to my path - I may have changed my path variable manually.
