Saw this recently.
[RANT] The use of hand sanitizer in homes should be generally discontiuned, in most of the '1st world'. (Before anyone jumps on me, I didn't say that doctors shouldn't scrub before surgery, nor nurses shouldn't wash their hands between patients, nor the use of a plain decent soap to wash one's hands when one is sick is foolhardy.) The lack of any normal excersize of the immune system is being understood as a possible cause of a number of auto-immune diseases. Also, most of us need the normal build-up of antibodies that a little dirt brings. I will derant before I go off on the use of antibiotics. (I personally told a high-level environmental regulatory agency that they had to do something about creating a system to capture unused meds several years prior to their motion in this area.) oops.
