@max/Gary -- I don't see this reflected in the reservation listing in the first post of the thread.

Yes, a very excellent group that we have. We'll officially go for P=25T by June 15th now. I'll reserve another P=1T-1.2T range later Monday.

Once this drive hits P=25T, there is another effort that I would like to bring up if people would like to continue helping sieve: There is a lower priority sieving effort that is ongoing for k=300-400 and n=1M-2M at our other forum here.

With all k's in the k=300-400 drive now at least at n=700K and n=700K-800K progressing rapidly, we'll want to start putting more resources on sieving n>1M in the upcoming weeks and months. Likely that range will need to be sieved to P>100T. It's currently complete to P=4T with P=5T to 6T also completed. P>7T is available.

It's not easy anticipating when to start these drives ahead of time but if possible, I'd like to avoid having these sieving efforts be "high priority" in the future. Having them ongoing well in advance of when they are needed is much more pleasant.

So many things to do and so less boxes to do it. I think, I have to stop my private project, search for a twinprime @ n=666777, for now. ;)

I don´t know, if I have remoteaccess to my main box over the next weekend, so that I probably can´t do another range for this sieve.
Sorry if I missed the info, but how do you plan to do this range? With LLRnet, individual reservations or a mixture of both?

I think, for the other sieve you wrote about, I will do a range per month taking one or two weeks. Will have a lokk, how it is ongoing with my individual reservation.

i think the plan was to do a mixture
2000-3000 was to be like most drives llrnet(maybe prpnet by the time the sieving is done) and a small amount of manual reservation i think
3000-3400 was to be decided i think

Cool, thanks. If it's not too much trouble, in the future I'd prefer if you use the Unix-style endings (0A is the hex), not the Windows-style (0D0A is the hex), since it adds an unnecessary ~24 MB to the uncompressed file. (yep, there's enough lines that one extra byte per line is ~24 extra megabytes) I use a hex editor (xvi32, looks like a Windows-only app, I'm sure there's good fast hex editors for Linux out there )'s find/replace to do it.
I don't think Notepad incompatibility would be a problem. You'd have to be crazy (or completely ignorant of its large file size handling) to try to open a file that big in Notepad, anyway.
Don't worry about it too much, and if it'd be too difficult don't bother doing it, but it would make the uncompressed file size a significant size smaller.

Yep, I did the Linux version the 1st time and the Windows version the 2nd time before sending it on. I didn't notice the huge difference in the original file size but can confirm that it is indeed ~92 MB vs. ~67 MB or so. It was only ~3 MB difference zipped. Strange.

I'll just send you a Linux file next time Max.

I'll let Max decide on that. I'll just send him the Linux version of the file since it's smaller.
