Gary, could you send me the sieve file? I'd like to possibly do some sieving, and plus, I can upload it to the noprimeleftbehind.net web space as Mini-Geek suggested so that we don't have to worry about email size limits any more. There's plenty of room there and no per-file size limit of any kind.

Because my inbox is limited to 20Mb (sorry Gary, I thought it had been upgraded) and I have to transfer the file across my network, it would be easier for me to pluck the file from a website in the future.

Gary, don't worry about sending me the sieve file after all--Lennart had it up on his personal web space and sent it to me.
I'll put it up on the noprimeleftbehind.net server which should be a bit faster than Lennart's setup. If anyone still needs the sieve file, drop me a PM and I'll send you the link. Edit: I also recompressed it with "Ultra" level compression, which dropped it from ~22MB to ~19MB. Last fiddled with by mdettweiler on 2009-05-30 at 17:22 |

Just now back on...Whew, was THAT a hassle! lol
It looks like everyone is good now. Let me know if otherwise. I'll upload it to the noprimeleftbehind.net server in the future. Max is correct. Sending the factors would have been far larger than the sieve file. Thanks, Lennart, for posting that on your web page. I don't know why googlepages wouldn't take it, even the 12 MB versions in 2 pieces. (I didn't try the 8 MB versions in 3 pieces.) I have plenty of space available. I think they've reduced their per file limit or something like that. Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2009-05-30 at 20:16 |

"You can upload any single file up to 10 MB." This is the same as Google Sites. http://www.google.com/support/sites/...y?answer=90557 I'm about 10% done, 877 factors so far. Last fiddled with by Mini-Geek on 2009-05-30 at 23:38 Reason: added status on my sieve |

All command line info is in that file Here is one example sr2sieve -p8200e9 -P8300e9 -isieve2000-3400-20K-1M.txt -ffactor2k-3_4k_8200G-8300G.txt -t4 -q You start with sr2sieve and it read that file. We use todo a file like this sr2sieve -p####e9 -P####e9 -isieve2000-3400-20K-1M.txt -ffactor2k-3_4k_####G-####G.txt -t4 -q Lennart |

Ian,
I'm just curious as to how you can be doing P=1250G per core with only a P=500G reservation. (lol) I was thinking that I corrected it to P=250G previously and I see that it's been changed back. Gary |
