Hey guys, are any of you having problems connecting to the G2000 PRPnet server? For reasons that I can't fathom, my client suddenly stopped connecting to that server earlier today, and has 10 results in queue waiting to be submitted. Yet, I know it's not a DNS problem--my client is set to fallback to the CRUS G3000 server (which, BTW, I upgraded to v2.0.4 today--yes, I know the greeting still says 1.0.4, I haven't gotten around to changing that yet), which is on the same server and works fine.
Additionally, my computer can't reach the web pages for G2000, either, which indicates that this is a system-wide problem that's keeping it from connecting, not just local to the PRPnet client. Similarly, though, I can reach G3000's web pages without a problem. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Is there something special about port 2000 that would get in the way of the connection? (When I get back from dinner I'll check a list of common TCP/IP ports and see what it's listed as, maybe that will shed some light on this...) |

Same here. Looks like it's down for me too.
And I've noticed becuase it couldn't connect, Ctrl+C works fine. It'll stop and wait for an answer. |

Server certainly isnt handing out any work.
I can telnet in on port 2000, nothing useful comes back but proves that the port is open. Someone will have to VNC in and see whats going on. |

By the way, I just noticed that when PRPnet isn't doing anything I can Ctrl-C and it brings up the menu correctly. |

Actually, I did VNC in a few times today to see what was going on, and the server appeared to be functioning normally. I'll try restarting it and see if that helps.
Edit: Actually, scratch that--it seems the server's come back online on its own! My client is once again fetching work from the server normally, and I can access the web page too.

Glad to see that it's back up.
By the way, what should I do with these 2 "z_____" files lying around? I've been having some issues last night, and it seemed to be skipped 2 numbers I had queued to test. |

Regarding what to do with them: you can go ahead and delete them. As long as the client is actively running at the time, then you don't have to worry about deleting an active one since even if you do, LLR will just plop a new one down at the next checkpoint anyway.
