Idle

hi everybody, I'm new for these kind of things and I have a question:

I'm running on windows XP and I can't find a way to say prime95 to use only 40% of CPU time instead of 100%.

I'm on a laptop and I do not want to overheat my CPU.

Assuming you're using a relatively recent version of prime95...

Throttle=40 means the program will run 40% and be idle 60% of the time.

The file prime.txt is in the folder with prime95 (along with readme.txt & undoc.txt). Just remember to stop prime95 before changing prime.txt.
