Max,
When adding primes to the 1st posting here, be sure and update the total primes line as in: Code:
n-range tested by Status # primes 68 found <--- Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2010-08-06 at 21:20 |

Aha, I didn't see that. I wasn't aware that we were doing that at NPLB now (just CRUS since the conjectures have a changing # of k's remaining); is this just for the mini-drive? |

I just realized as I was loading n=531K-535K into Gary's private PRPnet server that I accidentally made them for the range of k=3000-3200 instead of k=3010-3200 as it's supposed to be. I've therefore removed the remaining file links from the first post.
gamer007, this affects your 530K-531K file. The k=3000-3010 range was done by Lennart to n=1M a while back, so you'll be doing a little extra double work. Sorry about that--if you'd like me to send you a fixed file, I can, or if you'd prefer you can just stick with the file you've got. It will take a wee bit longer to test, but there's nothing missing from it that should be there. Gary, I'm rather busy this evening; if you could post fixed files here tonight, that would be greatly appreciated. |

Max,
Once again, the # of primes was not updated. That twice; once after a reminder. In the future, I would prefer that either Karsten or me update the 1st post here with both primes found and the sieve files. I had been doing it all of the time until recently. There was also a problem in the 12th drive sieve file loaded into port 7000. These sieve files cannot just have contiguous k and n ranges in them. Most of the time, there will be a few k's removed or a specific n-range that most be loaded in a very exacting manner. Any time that I do it, I take about an extra 5 minutes to doublecheck myself; both that the links work and that the correct k/n-range are loaded. I can't be constantly doublechecking things all of the time. The question about us showing the total # of primes for this drive is not worthy of an answer. It's not the only drive that we do it on and we've done it since the beginning of the drive. It's nothing more than a point of interest. Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2010-08-09 at 02:04 |
