Search default (threads or posts)

Is there any way to make a search default to returning results as posts rather than threads? I have a tendency to forget to check the posts option and then have to wait 60 seconds before I can search again.....

We do not see an option for that.

(And we think most people prefer their results to be in thread form.)

If you can find out a way to have that set per user let us know.

If I can narrow my search enough, that does work, but sometimes I make too general a search, and in a long thread there might be several messages, but you still might have to search the thread to find them.

No, and I don't see a way to set it forum wide, either, but I only skimmed the docs.....

It works out OK, I just need to remind myself a couple of more times and I'll remember to do it....

We think the 60 second rule is for everyone. It is set in the control panel as a fixed value and is not part of any usergroup property.

Well, once upon a time (about three versions of the forum software back, when I had mod powers), I could've sworn that I faced no such limits.

I see it's changed to 30 seconds now. Also much better if there was a typo in your input.
