With 2^3*3^3*5, it can't escape. The power of 3 or 5 must change to an even number.

There's always a chance, but I wouldn't bet too much on it. Then again, I don't have much in the way of cold hard facts to lean on. The 2^3*3*5s I've caught have been annoyingly persistent though.

Your best bet was line 4207. Basically 2^3*3^2*5*p*q, where both p and q are 1 (mod 4).

The good news is, 3^3 should drop back to 3^2 pretty soon.

232956 went up to 103 digits when it hit the down driver. It has gotten down to 94 digits so far. Not sure how far it will go.

current line is (92 digit bit is factoring):
2133049582...<94> = 2 · 11 · 9695679922...<92>

Let's hope it leads to something like this, but not something like this.

At odds of 1 in 180, it hit 2 *a prime at 78 digits and now is heading back up. Very sad. 2^3*3 has got it in its grip now.

Don't expect them to go too far; the two examples I've chosen were outsiders. In fact none of the multiple downdrivers in 130396 (the second linked graph in my post above) dropped the sequence further than 28 digits. It needed 7 downdriver runs for the drop from 101 to 23 digits.

Smile a scientific estimate

961 little piggies went to the market, only one came back.
So the chances are about 1/961!

Trust me, this is as scientific as it gets.
