I started with 100 sequences, but they were downloaded by my users to fast. So I reserved more.
I made some runtime estimations for nfs up to C150 (C160 is still running) on a 4 core system. These times I think are doable if the pretest which yafu runs (rho, ecm,..) dosn't add to much time. Currently I assume 20% for this. People have systems up to 24 cores attached and the app uses all of them. We will see how it runs. Currently up to C121 is running. |

Even so, it's more valuable from the point of view of terminations to run more sequences to 130 digits than less sequences to 150 digits.
On the other hand, that is very likely impractical because of the sheer number of sequences involved, not to mention the reservation churn...Making a live list of in progress sequences available on your site would definitely be a boon to everyone here, as long as you don't clobber current reservations here. On the other hand, it might also be doable to add a second post (or hijack the second post in this thread) to give us additional room. fivemack has also shown a propensity for mass reservations, and going this route would enable him and anyone else as well as you to do thusly. A post that is blank or nearly blank (as opposed to the head post, with extra info) can hold approximately 275-280 reservations (10 000 chars / (~35 chars per reservation)). That might mean additional work for my scripts, but they're modular enough that it shouldn't be too much trouble. henryzzz? Last fiddled with by Dubslow on 2015-01-02 at 23:38 |

I am fine with having reservations in 2 posts as long as you are happy making the changes to the script. There are a few things worth considering such as what scripts use the first post. I am not sure that your scripts are the only ones that would have to change. reserving 918264 |

A list of the sequences which I run: http://yafu.myfirewall.org/yafu/down...li/ali.txt.all
Instead of keeping the reservations in the first post, you could also share a Dropbox ascii file or a google doc. yoyo |
