A good dance/techno song by the U.K. band "Faithless". The song is called "Insomnia":

Phoned a friend I haven't met for 40 years.
Reminded him of when we enjoyed the B side of "Dance with the guitar man" (Duane Eddy) at both 45 and 78 RPM. "Pegging out"? I suggested. No "Stretching out". That is what I call a friend

I thought I knew where I was when JFK died, but I'm not sure now (I was 13) But ask when and where I saw the headline "JOHN LENNON SHOT DEAD" and I can pinpoint the place, time, newsagent, why I was in there..... David |

I feel fine.
But I couldn't find the original video. ![]() (I've just bought a new mobile. Looks like I've found my ringtone. )As for John Lennon - I was on my way to work when I heard it on the radio. Freezing cold - decorating an old ladies house in Reigate. JFK - I was too young. ![]() Elvis - Heard it on the radio. On holiday in [Nice-but-]Dymchurch. I was 13, I thought he was already dead! "I wonder if Lee Harvey Oswald remembered where he was when Kennedy was shot." - Paul Merton. Last fiddled with by Flatlander on 2009-10-17 at 12:17 |

the Harry Enfield "Nice but Dim" reference. Re people dying, I was on living my own (since I was divorced in 1992) and heard of Diana's death on the radio (Saturday night/Sunday morning). Unusually I cried myself to sleep. (I am about the same age as Charles, and my two sons are about the same as William and Harry). Went to Stony Stratford (usual watering hole) Sunday morning, and every person there was walking around in a complete daze. The media might have had a field day, but the emotion was universal. I don't have a particular track to associate with this, but I did listen to a trad jazz band who (after contemplating abandonment) played on. I thought the stick the Queen got was completely out of order. David Hope this is close enough: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUpoFBm_QSw |

I personally am not a big grindcore fan. Napalm Death, the first grindcore band (came from England), is rather bad. Anal Cunt is another famous grindcore band, but they plain suck.
However, the band Agoraphobic Nosebleed is rather cool. They are known for their microsongs (their songs are from 0:40 to 2:00 minutes long). Also, the drumming is rather cool (although it is programmed): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTWZOYR_opg Most people will find this annoying, so my apologies But trust me, this is perhaps the most talent I have found in a grindcore band thus far.
