several month ago i got the exponent with my old pentium 120 laptop.
In november 2008 I switched it to server v5, but couldn't get a correct assignment for the old exponent. I decided to let it run, because only a few weeks of work had to be done. On December 25th the exponent was done, an the pc tried to check it in. But the server answer was Quote:

PrimeNet is not accepting the result because it is missing the trial factoring between 2^64 and 2^68, that was also the reason it was not accepting to register your work. You should change the line you input to the manual results to :
M47493253 no factor to 2^69, Wd1: C7DF3C11 (the old style) or M47493253 no factor from 2^65 to 2^69, Wd1: C7DF3C11 (the new style.) If you want the credit (2,3601 GHz days) be sure you log on the server before turning in your results. It seem's that I have only testet from 2^68 to 2^69, or did I missed something? I found the assignment in the log: Quote:
ok, yes, it must be, I'l try that immidiately ;-) Nope, it didn't accept it. I rechecked the logfile, and I think there went something very wrong between 16th and 19th December: [Tue Dec 16 21:55:50 2008 - ver 25.8] Updating computer information on the server Sending expected completion date for M47493253: Feb 23 2009 so here is only one assignment, but then [Wed Dec 17 01:16:09 2008 - ver 25.8] Sending benchmark data to server [Fri Dec 19 22:33:28 2008 - ver 25.8] Updating computer information on the server Sending expected completion date for M47493253: Feb 26 2009 Updating computer information on the server Sending expected completion date for M47493253: Jan 25 2009 PrimeNet error 43: Invalid assignment key ap: no such assignment key, GUID: 99f5e02c097817016d1883696bb1af1f, key: 0A978960E4174153BD022A5B4B054016 [Fri Dec 19 22:40:29 2008 - ver 25.8] Updating computer information on the server Registering assignment: Trial factor M47493253 PrimeNet error 40: No assignment ra: already assigned, exponent: 47493253, A: 1, b: 2, c: -1 It seems I Lost one assignemnet, maybe 65 to 68? Maybe I made a mistake while trying to get the "N/A" away..... I think the work is gone..... regards Last fiddled with by Phantomas on 2008-12-26 at 18:50 |

You can't check-in the modified results line because the checksum is not valid.
I can. The result is now recorded and you received the CPU credit. |

The previous explanation was accurate. When v25 resumes a v24 TF assignment it erroneously reports only the bit levels that v25 completed (not outputting the 2^64 - 2^68 that v24 completed).
