Where Port 400 has 8,608 remaining knpairs remaining... Last fiddled with by IronBits on 2009-01-20 at 04:18 |

Once we slay the current file in port 8000, I'll move 2-3 quads back over to port 400 so that you can get that one dried. ~75% of my total resources are on port 8000 at the moment so that we can make up for some lost time on finding top-5000 primes while sieving. For everyone's reference, David is looking to close down port 400 in favor of (I believe) port 4000. Since all of the ports must be > 1024, doing that prevents him from having to do a redirect. 4000 shows ICQ on my Smoothwall router, but I don't see that one listed here so I'm not concerned and we aren't running an ICQ server.
![]() http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers I do want to stop the redirecting, if for no other reason than sanity... currently - inbound to destination 400 is redirected to 9000 9000 is redirected to 10000 Changing those routes to below when we can inbound to destination 4000 to 4000 9000 to 9000 When I change 9000 in to 9000 destination, there is no need for anyone to do anything on their end because you are coming in on port 9000 already. ![]() That will give us the following ports to use for servers (permanently) 2000 -> 2000 3000 -> 3000 4000 -> 4000 5000 -> 5000 6000 -> 6000 7000 -> 7000 8000 -> 8000 9000 -> 9000 I don't think we will ever need more than 9 servers at one time, but I'm reserving them for NPLB. Now all you have to do is decide what drives/pairs you want to have on which ports and how many ports you want to run. ![]() I can add more if you need them... An empty string is of course not the same as NULL in mySQL. You will find that there is now a new user in the database called PEBKAC. Last fiddled with by AMDave on 2009-01-30 at 03:02 |

Hmm...I've noticed that the new PEBKAC user has not yet shown up in the stats tables, and that the "1" and {blank} users still exist there. Will this be fixed automatically at the next stats run?

Thanks to a super toolkit that IronBits made available to the project, I was able to 'spruce up' the Dashboard charts

I have a small feature request for the stats website. Could a page possibly be added to keep track of how much score (both for k/n pairs and for primes) each user has gained on each day? I was thinking something sort of along the lines of the Progress Report page, except that instead of showing charts for all the servers separately, it would amalgamate all of a given user's score for that day into one line.
I was mainly thinking this would be useful for the purpose of comparing how much firepower each user has got running on all of our servers for each day. Yes, you can add up the totals from the various servers on the existing progress report, but those figures can be somewhat skewed because of the differing sizes of the k/n pairs in each server. Thus, a score chart would be much more representative. If it wouldn't be too much effort to implement, then such a page would be greatly appreciated. ![]() Max

Might I suggest using the advanced stats site that Bok does?
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=proj&proj=nplb or this one perhaps? http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=users&proj=nplb or even maybe this one - hint: scroll down to see the graphs ![]() http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?p...me=mdettweiler Last fiddled with by IronBits on 2009-02-11 at 09:03 |

The "Last 25 Report" has been replaced
It was not very useful. It has been replaced by the "Recent Results" report. The Recent Results report shows the latest result recieved for each server and port active in the last 3 days. as with all the other reports, it is refreshed every hour. For obvious reasons, this will be more interesting for our port monitors. Once again a reminder to the casual viewer, that the GB server is in a different timezone to the IB server and hence the difference in times shown.
